Invest in future facing folk arts 

Saltburn Folk Festival is a not-for-profit, community centred event run by a voluntary board, supported by a number of volunteers. We believe in paying artists and the freelancers we work with properly, and remain committed to providing a strong platform showcasing young and emerging artists alongside nationally renowned performers - inspiring people in the North East and Teesside to participate in the folk arts, showcasing professional progression routes within the region. We continue to promote a strategic and ambitious creative programme showcasing the breadth of folk music and folk arts, from cutting edge contemporary to traditionally embedded practice.

The festival would not be where it is today without generous donations from our community, local business and individuals - in time, support, and financial donations.

We continue to grow our ambition, and centre a future facing, resilient event in our delivery - celebrating all that has gone before, and providing a platform for nationally renowned work.

The festival brings over 5,000 visitors to Saltburn by the Sea each year - a number which continues to grow.
