Bertie Armstrong

Bertie Armstrong is a singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Newcastle.

He blends a mix of traditional Appalachian old time and blues with British folk, drawing influence from his hometown of Newcastle and his roots in Wales. He also performs original songs.

 

Bertie’s song writing has been greatly influenced by artists such as Neil Young and Roscoe Holcomb. He has performed solo throughout the North East as well as across the UK with the band Holly and the Reivers.
