Theo Dussek

Theo Dussek is a Pirate Troubadour who sails the seas of life and sings original story-songs into the folklore realm with his new album ‘Written in the River’.

With songs imagining the past lives of sailors, what the whales know or stories of star-written love his musings are inspired by the mysticism, power and romance of the oceans and rivers.

Image-rich lyrics offer depth while light acoustic guitar plays on the surface; both woven together in Theo’s rolling, rhythmic, uplifting sound. Likened to Paul Simon, Donovan and Bob Dylan, audiences around the country have been cast into Theo’s spell on stage.

“Theo uses a simple, timeless musical backdrop to deliver an emotionally moving album” Folk and Honey

“Each track is a little gem…I predict we’ll be hearing a lot more of Theo” Brian Cope, Folk London
