Dogwatch are John and Joy Rennie.  They sing mainly traditional or traditional style folk songs, some of which are made up of wonderful poetry, set to music by Joy, and a few that are all their own composition.

John plays English concertina and Joy plays melodeons, recorders and digital piano. Dogwatch sing lots of songs about the usual folkie subjects, such as soldiers and milk maids, but their main love is songs of the sea.

Often asked, “Where did the Dogwatch name come from?”, the answer is this; having been Guide Dog puppy walkers for many years, when looking for a snappy name, they thought our involvement with dogs and with sea songs made “Dogwatch” doubly appropriate.
